Is feeding my betta fish only bloodworms okay?

I have a betta fish who I feed once a day and loves to eat bloodworms. I've tried feeding him some pellet food but he refuses to eat it, taking a taste and then spitting it out again. The blood worms I feed him are frozen which I let thaw before I put it in the tank. Does he get all the nutrition he needs from this diet?
