Will a manual transmission from 86-89 accord fit 87 prelude SI?

My manual transmission from my 87 Prelude SI is blown and I'm having a hard time locating another one however I do see lots of accords 86-89 and was wondering if they can be interchanged. I have read a post from a mechanic who says that the automatic transmission for a 87 SI fuel injected can be installed into the accord 86-89 however will the 5spd work as well without major modifications or any at all? Thanks
