How can I impress the directors and get a lead? (In Fame)?

Well i'm going to be in a production of Fame at my local theater and I L O V E the show so much and I really want a lead (especially Carmen) and i really want to impress them so I can get a lead? P.S everyone has to sing the same song (Fame) , do the same choreography and read the same scene so H O W can I stand out?
